Infrastructure administrator

Located in Repentigny, a suburb of Montreal, Vigilance Santé has been developing databases and drug analysis software for nearly 30 years to provide front-line healthcare professionals with tools. Reporting to the Director of Technology and Digital, the incumbent participates in the design, implementation, management and optimization of the company's internal and external technological infrastructure. He/she plays an essential role in maintaining the stability, security and performance of information assets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage local and data center technology infrastructure (telecoms, networks, servers, storage).
• Participate in the design of robust, scalable and secure technological architectures, taking into account the company's current and future needs.
• Prepare, initialize and set up different types of servers (Linux and Windows) according to needs and demands.
• Ensure the availability and reliability of servers, networks, storage systems and other IT infrastructure components.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, diagnose potential problems and implement optimization solutions.
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to company stakeholders, explaining the implications and benefits of technology choices.
• Provide advanced technical assistance to resolve complex infrastructure issues (levels 2-3).
• Keep abreast of technological trends and developments, assess their relevance and propose infrastructure updates or improvements.
• Collaborate with other technical and non-technical teams on infrastructure-related projects.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of infrastructure, configurations and operational procedures.
• Ensure knowledge of company policies and regulations in order to follow the executive on a daily basis.
• Ensure compliance with all mandatory internal training courses related to cybersecurity and other topics.
• Develop or participate in the development and implementation of policies, programs, standards, guidelines and procedures in his/her area of expertise.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and managing technology infrastructures.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems, networks, storage and cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect), an asset.
• Any combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Fluency in written and spoken French.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
